African Flower is a Duke Ellington composition from the Money Jungle session. The tune is reimagined by guitarist Rob Luft on his 2023 album Dahab Days. The track features Luft’s quintet with Rob Luft on guitar, Joe Wright on tenor sax, Joe Webb on piano, Tom McCredie on bass, and Corrie Dick on drums, with Luft playing kalimba on this piece. Dahab Days, released by Edition Records in 2023, blends jazz with West African guitar influences and other textures while staying true to Ellington's melodic core.
