Better Than Anything is a vocal jazz tune written by David “Buck” Wheat and Bill Loughborough. It was first released in 1963 by Irene Kral with The Junior Mance Trio, on the album Better Than Anything. The English-language song was issued on the Äva label and has since become a jazz standard, recorded by many artists including Vikki Carr, Bob Dorough, Tuck & Patti, Al Jarreau and Natalie Cole with Diana Krall. The original release reached 93rd in 1963 on a chart.
