Bloomdido is a jazz standard written by Charlie Parker, one of the bebop pioneers known as Bird. It was recorded on June 6, 1950 and released in 1952 on the Clef Records album Bird and Diz, the last studio album Parker made with Dizzy Gillespie as co-leaders. The tune is a blues-based bebop piece in B-flat, showcasing Parker's swift improvisation and the fast, intricate language of bebop. Some sources note that the recording features the pianist Thelonious Monk on piano during the Bird and Diz sessions. Bloomdido has since become a widely performed jazz standard and a notable part of Parker and Gillespie’s collaboration.
