Blueberry Hill is a popular American song published in 1940, with music by Vincent Rose and lyrics by Larry Stock and Al Lewis. It was first recorded and released as a single by Sammy Kaye on RCA Victor in 1940. A hit version followed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, recorded in Chicago on June 13, 1940 and released on RCA Bluebird Records, reached number two on the US pop chart. The tune has been recorded many times, including Louis Armstrong in 1949 and Elvis Presley in 1957. The most famous later version is Fats Domino’s 1956 rock and roll rendition from the album This Is Fats Domino!, which became Domino’s biggest pop hit and helped cement the song as a rock and roll standard. Rolling Stone ranked it No 82 on its 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
