Crisis is a jazz tune composed by Freddie Hubbard. It appears on his 1962 Blue Note album Ready for Freddie, a hard bop session featuring Wayne Shorter, McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Bernard McKinney and Art Davis. The track runs about 11 minutes on the original LP. Ready for Freddie is regarded as a landmark hard bop recording, and Crisis is one of its standout tracks. A separate Freddie Hubbard album titled Crisis was released in 1974 on Black Lion.
