Dinette is a classic gypsy jazz tune composed by Django Reinhardt in 1942. The original release appeared in 1942 with Django Reinhardt et le Quintette du Hot Club de France, an instrumental showcase of Reinhardt's guitar virtuosity in the jazz manouche style. Over the decades it has been widely covered and adapted, with numerous versions from 1979 onward by artists such as Charlie Haden & Christian Escoudé and many others. In 2024 Tatiana Eva-Marie released a French rendition of Dinette, adding new lyrics and her own arrangement to the piece. Tatiana Eva-Marie is known as the Gypsy-jazz Warbler and as a modern interpreter of Django Reinhardt's repertoire, blending Gypsy jazz with Parisian chanson and the Great American Songbook; her project The Echoes of Django continues to explore Reinhardt's music. The tune sits squarely in the gypsy jazz or jazz manouche genre and remains a beloved part of Django Reinhardt's legacy.
