Doralice is a Brazilian song written by Dorival Caymmi and Antônio Almeida, a cornerstone of Bossa Nova and Brazilian jazz. It was first released in October 1945 by Anjos do Inferno. A landmark version by João Gilberto appeared around 1960, helping to define the bossa nova sound, and the tune has since been recorded by many artists and appears on numerous albums. An adapted French version was issued in 1962 by Hubert Ithier and Maurice Tézé. Notable later covers include Stan Getz and João Gilberto with Antônio Carlos Jobim in 1964.
