Eclypso is a jazz tune composed by Tommy Flanagan. It is the title track of the 1980 Enja album Eclypso, recorded on February 4, 1977 in New York City by the piano trio of Tommy Flanagan, George Mraz and Elvin Jones. The performance features Flanagan on piano, Mraz on bass and Jones on drums, and the piece runs 12 minutes and 28 seconds. The album Eclypso was released in 1980 and the overall set is rooted in jazz with hard bop influences; it includes tracks such as Oleo, Denzil's Best, A Blue Time, Relaxin' at Camarillo, Cup Bearers and Confirmation. The Eclypso album was produced by Horst Weber and Matthias Winckelmann and released on the Enja label.
