Fly Away is a 1998 song by American singer Lenny Kravitz, released as the fourth single from his fifth studio album, 5. The track blends funk rock, alternative rock and pop rock. Kravitz reportedly came up with the song while testing an amp in the studio, moving between chords A, C, G and D - it was almost a B-side before a friend urged him to include it on the album. It reached number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the UK Singles Chart and Iceland, with strong showings in several other countries. The song won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in 1999, his first of four consecutive wins in that category. The music video, directed by Paul Hunter, features Kravitz and his band playing in a club with a grainy, beat-up look. The track gained additional exposure through a UK Peugeot ad and MSN campaigns, and in 2024 a Quavo remix titled Fly was released for Fortnite Festival and Madden NFL 25.
