Fly Like an Eagle is the title track by the American rock band Steve Miller Band from their 1976 album Fly Like an Eagle. Written by Steve Miller, the song blends space rock, blues rock and pop rock and runs about 4 minutes and 42 seconds. The album was released on May 14, 1976 and became a major hit, featuring singles like Take the Money and Run and Rock'n Me and earning 4x Platinum in the United States. On the cover Miller is pictured with a left-handed Fender Stratocaster that Jimi Hendrix had ordered; the guitar was later stolen after the album’s release. In 2025 the album was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress.
