Gallop's Gallop is a jazz instrumental composed by Thelonious Monk. It was first recorded and released in 1955 by the Gigi Gryce Quartet, with the session dated October 15, 1955. The piece sits in the bebop and hard bop realm and has been performed by many musicians over the years. Monk himself released a version in 1982. Since its debut, Gallop's Gallop has appeared on numerous albums by artists such as Steve Lacy, Michael Weiss Quintet, and Pandelis Karayorgis, among others.
