It was released on April 16, 1971 as part of a double A-side single with It’s Too Late, and is a pop rock track that runs 3:00. Produced by Lou Adler, the recording features King on keyboards and vocals with Danny Kootch on guitar, Charles Larkey on bass, and Joel O’Brien on drums, and its piano-led groove underscores the song’s energetic delivery. The track reached number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks and climbed to number 6 in the UK, and together with It’s Too Late it became one of the era’s biggest mainstream pop hits.
