I Hear Music is a 1940 popular song written by Burton Lane with lyrics by Frank Loesser for the Paramount film Dancing on a Dime. In the movie it is performed by Robert Paige, Peter Lind Hayes, Frank Jenks and Eddie Quillan, and it appears on the film’s soundtrack. The first recording was Russ Morgan and His Orchestra with vocals by Jimmy Lewis, on August 27, 1940, with the film released later that year.
