Isn't She Lovely is a soulful song by Stevie Wonder from his 1976 album Songs in the Key of Life. The lyrics celebrate the birth of his daughter Aisha Morris, with Wonder collaborating on the track with Burnetta “Bunny” Jones. The song opens side three of the album with a baby’s first cry recorded at a real birth, and later includes Wonder bathing Aisha, combined with an extended harmonica solo. Wonder played nearly all the instruments himself, with some keyboard parts by Greg Phillinganes. It was released as a promotional single and was not issued as a commercial single, yet it received heavy radio airplay and reached number 23 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in January 1977. The tune has since become a jazz and pop standard with many covers, and Wonder performed it for Queen Elizabeth II at the Diamond Jubilee Concert in 2012, after which it charted in the UK at number 94 due to download sales.
