Lennie-Bird is a jazz composition written by Lennie Tristano. It appears on The Lennie Tristano Quartet, a two‑LP Atlantic release issued in 1981. The track was recorded live in the Sing-Song Room at the Confucius Restaurant in New York City on June 11, 1955 and was previously unreleased before this album. The performance features Lennie Tristano on piano, Lee Konitz on alto sax, Gene Ramey on bass and Art Taylor on drums, with Tom Dowd engineering and Nesuhi Ertegun producing, and it exemplifies cool jazz and modal styles. Lennie-Bird runs about six minutes on the record, alongside other Tristano tracks such as April, Confucius Blues and There’ll Never Be Another You.
