Little Dancer is a jazz instrumental written by Tom Harrell and first released in 1979 by John McNeil & Tom Harrell on the album Look to the Sky. The piece marks a collaborative trumpet-led collaboration between the two artists and is presented as part of that album. There are later versions as well, including a 1987 recording by John Basile with Tom Harrell and other musicians. The track remains part of the jazz genre and showcases Harrell’s melodic writing.
