Mambo Inn is a mambo-tinged jazz tune by Bobby Woodlen's Harlem Mambo, recorded in the summer of 1954. It was issued as a 7-inch mono single by RCA Victor (catalog 47-5477), with Tales Of Boogee on the B-side. The A-side Mambo Inn was written by Bobby Woodlen, Grace Sampson and Mario Bauzá and arranged by Edgar Sampson, with Tales Of Boogee sharing the same credits. The release sits within the jazz, latin and mambo traditions and reflects the mid-20th century crossover between jazz and Latin rhythms.
