More Than You Know is a 1929 popular song composed by Vincent Youmans with lyrics by Billy Rose and Edward Eliscu. It was introduced in the Broadway musical Great Day, sung by Mayo Methot. The tune quickly became a jazz standard and was popularized on stage and radio by Jane Froman, with early successful recordings by Helen Morgan and Libby Holman. It has since been featured in three musical films: Hit the Deck (1955) sung by Tony Martin; Funny Lady (1975) sung by Barbra Streisand; and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) sung by Michelle Pfeiffer. Notable later versions include Barbra Streisand on Simply Streisand, Frank Sinatra on Trilogy: Past Present Future, and recordings by Ella Fitzgerald and Judy Garland among others.
