Nothing Personal is an instrumental jazz tune written by pianist Don Grolnick. It was first recorded and released in 1987 by saxophonist Michael Brecker on his self-titled album Michael Brecker, with Jack DeJohnette on drums. The track is an up-tempo minor blues with rhythmic hits and has become a jazz standard with many covers. Don Grolnick later recorded his own version in 1990, and a version appeared on the 1992 album Toolbox. The tune is widely performed in the jazz world and is noted for its energetic modern jazz feel.
