Passion (alt) is a musette swing tune for accordion co-written by Tony Murena and Joseph Colombo. It was first recorded and released in 1942 by Tony Murena et son ensemble swing, helping to popularize the musette waltz in the swing era. The piece is typically played as a Valse Musette with a lively dance-floor feel, and many sheet editions credit Arrigo Tomasi with the arrangement. In Murena’s discography it’s linked to the 1962 Vive Paris era, and it has appeared on later swing accordion compilations such as Le swing à bretelles (2003). Modern performances and video play-alongs continue to showcase Passion as a classic accordion showcase piece.
