Pinetop's Blues is an early blues piano piece by Clarence "Pinetop" Smith. It was recorded in Chicago on December 29, 1928 and released as a two-sided Vocalion 10-inch shellac in March 1929, with Pine Top Blues on the A-side and Pine Top's Boogie Woogie on the B-side. The tune sits in the boogie-woogie and piano blues genres and is part of the early boogie-woogie era in American music. The 1929 single helped popularize the style and has been recognized as a milestone in its development. In 2019 a remastered version, Pinetop's Blues (Remaster), was issued as a single, running 2 minutes and 55 seconds.
