Sail Away is a 1989 jazz studio album by American trumpeter and flugelhornist Tom Harrell, released on Contemporary Records. The title track Sail Away became a jazz standard, and the album features guest players such as Joe Lovano on sax on four tracks, James Williams on piano, and John Abercrombie on guitar, with Bill Goodwin as producer. It was reissued in 2003 with two bonus tracks. The music sits in mainstream jazz with ballads and medium-tempo tunes, and Harrell’s warm flugelhorn tone has been praised alongside the ensemble’s expressive playing. Tracks include Eons, Dream in June, Sail Away, Buffalo Wings, It Always Is, Dancing Trees, and Hope St.
