Seven Come Eleven is a jazz instrumental by the Benny Goodman Sextet featuring Charlie Christian on electric guitar. It was recorded on May 28, 1940 at the Peacock Court ballroom in the Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco, during a West Coast engagement, and is noted as the final recording from their San Francisco stand.
The tune was composed by Charlie Christian and is a contrafact of I Got Rhythm, built on the same chord changes with a new melody. It was released in 1940 (first recording was November 22, 1939) and appeared on the Aircheck 16 LP (and later Golden Era LP-15077 among many reissues).
