Slow Hot Wind, also known as Lujon, is an instrumental tune by Henry Mancini released in 1961 on the album Mr. Lucky Goes Latin. The piece - named after the lujon percussion heard on the recording - was an original Mancini composition not connected to the Mr. Lucky TV program. It is an easy listening track performed by Henry Mancini and His Orchestra, about 3 minutes 17 seconds long. It has appeared in film soundtracks such as The Big Lebowski, Sexy Beast, W.E., and Two Lovers, and Mancini later recorded a jazz-swing version on the 1975 album Symphonic Soul, reaching No. 38 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1976. A Slow Hot Wind, with lyrics by Norman Gimbel, was recorded by Johnny Hartman (1964), Sarah Vaughan (1965), and Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 (1966), among others.
