Summer in Central Park is a jazz composition by Horace Silver. It was first recorded on October 6, 1972 and released in 1973 on the Blue Note album In Pursuit of the 27th Man. The track, about 4 minutes and 41 seconds long, showcases Silver’s hard bop with a funky soul edge. The album features a notable lineup including Randy Brecker and Michael Brecker on horns, David Friedman on vibes, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Mickey Roker on drums. The tune has also been adapted by Luca Lapenna in 1998 and Amanda Tiffin in 2007, and was arranged for big band by Giorgio Gandossi in 2018.
