The title tune, The Peacocks, is composed by Rowles, and the album was recorded in July 1975 in New York City. It features Getz on tenor sax and Rowles on piano and vocals, with additional players like Buster Williams on bass and Elvin Jones on drums on several tracks. The set includes a mix of standards such as Body and Soul, Skylark, and I’ll Never Be the Same, plus the original The Peacocks, and runs about 58 minutes.
