Tin Tin Deo is a landmark Afro-Cuban jazz tune co-written by Dizzy Gillespie, Gil Fuller, and Cuban percussionist Chano Pozo. It was first recorded on October 25, 1948, and is one of Gillespie's foremost contributions to Afro-Cuban jazz, alongside Manteca from 1947. The piece blends bebop with Afro-Cuban rhythms, featuring robust percussion, bold horn lines, and a distinctive piano motif; it is largely instrumental with roots in Afro-Cuban chants. The track has appeared on various releases rather than a single album, and it helped popularize Latin jazz. Live performances in the early 1950s contributed to its enduring status in the jazz repertoire.
