Toys is the second studio album by pianist Uri Caine, released in 1995 on the JMT label and later issued in 1996. It presents Caine’s jazz reimaginings of four Herbie Hancock compositions, including the title track Toys, along with The Prisoner, Dolphin Dance, and Cantaloupe Island. The album, classified as jazz, was recorded in February and March 1995 at Power Station in New York City and runs 68 minutes. The lineup features Dave Douglas on trumpet, Don Byron on bass clarinet, Josh Roseman on trombone, Gary Thomas on tenor sax and flute, Dave Holland on bass, Ralph Peterson Jr on drums, and Don Alias on percussion.
