Two Not One is a jazz tune performed by Warne Marsh and Lee Konitz, two Lennie Tristano pupils. It appears on the Storyville four-CD box set Two Not One, which documents Marsh’s first European visit in December 1975 with concerts at Montmartre in Copenhagen and Rosenberg studio sessions. The box features Danish players Ole Kock Hansen on piano, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass, and Alex Riel on drums, with later sessions including Dave Cliff on guitar, Peter Ind on bass, and Alan Lewitt on drums. On CD Two of the box, Two Not One sits alongside other Marsh-Konitz staples and a broader program of the period. A transcription note by John J Williamson describes Two Not One as a Lennie Tristano contrafact based roughly on Almost Like Being in Love. The track is firmly within the jazz genre and is part of a historically significant pairing of Konitz and Marsh.
