Warwick Avenue is a 2008 single by British singer Duffy from her debut album Rockferry. The title referring to the Warwick Avenue tube station in London, the song was written by Aimée Duffy, Jimmy Hogarth and Eg White and produced by Hogarth. It was released on 26 May 2008 as the third single from the album, after charting due to download sales, and it peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. The track is a soul song in Bb major with a tempo of about 84 bpm, and runs 3 minutes and 46 seconds. The music video, directed by Daniel Wolfe, is a near single shot of Duffy leaving the station and crying in a taxi. The song has appeared in TV shows such as Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road, was used in Band Hero, and helped secure Duffy several Brit Awards in 2009; Rolling Stone named it one of the best songs of 2008.
