West Coast Blues is a jazz tune composed by Wes Montgomery. It appears on his 1960 studio album The Incredible Jazz Guitar of Wes Montgomery, released by Riverside Records. The track, about 7 minutes and 26 seconds long, features Montgomery on electric guitar with Tommy Flanagan on piano, Percy Heath on bass and Albert Heath on drums, and it showcases his signature thumb picking and octave playing. Recorded in New York City at Reeves Sound Studios in January 1960, the album is widely regarded as a milestone in jazz guitar and was later selected for the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress in 2017.
