When It Rains is an instrumental jazz composition by Brad Mehldau. It appears on the 2002 album Largo, with the track recorded April 2-8, 2001 in Hollywood, California. The piece pairs Mehldau’s piano with wind orchestration and an acoustic ensemble, including bass, drums, flute, oboe, clarinet and bassoon.
