Wild Flower is an instrumental jazz composition by Wayne Shorter. It was first recorded on Christmas Eve 1964 and released in 1966 as the closing track on the Blue Note album Speak No Evil. The session features Shorter on tenor sax with Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Herbie Hancock on piano, Ron Carter on bass, and Elvin Jones on drums. The piece showcases Shorter’s distinctive post-bop voice with intricate melodies and harmonies. A later vocal version with lyrics by Kelly Green was performed by Green Soul in 2020, and the tune has since been covered by other artists.
