Will You Love Me Tomorrow is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and was first recorded in 1960 by The Shirelles for their debut album Tonight's the Night. It was released as a single in November 1960 and became the first song by a girl group to top the US Billboard Hot 100. The Shirelles' version—produced by Luther Dixon and recorded at Bell Sound in New York—fits Brill Building pop with doo-wop and soul influences, and runs 2:41. In 1971 Carole King recorded a slower version for her album Tapestry, with background vocals by Joni Mitchell and James Taylor. The tune has been widely covered and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
