You're Blasé is a jazz and pop standard written in 1931 by Ord Hamilton with lyrics by Bruce Sievier. It was introduced by Binnie Hale in John Murray Anderson's London musical Bow Bells in 1932. The first recording was by the Savoy Hotel Orpheans (Carroll Gibbons) on December 17, 1931, with early 1932 releases by Jack Hylton and His Orchestra and by Gus Arnheim and His Orchestra. Over the years it has become a beloved jazz ballad and a staple of the standard repertoire. (1978) with Oscar Peterson, Joe Pass, Ray Brown, and Louis Bellson; Julie London on Bethlehem's Girlfriends (1955); Louis Armstrong on Louis Under the Stars (1958); Stan Getz on The Steamer; Peggy Lee on Dream Street (1957).
