Popsicle Toes is a pop song written by Michael Franks, who composed the music and wrote the lyrics. It was released as a single in 1976, taken from his album The Art of Tea, which was produced by Tommy LiPuma for Reprise Records. Franks recorded the original version in February 1976, and the single runs 3:30. Its B-side was "I Don't Know Why I'm So Happy I'm Sad". It was Franks's only entry on the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 43, and it reached No. 45 on the Billboard Easy Listening chart in 1976. The Manhattan Transfer recorded a version for their 1976 album Coming Out, and Diana Krall covered the song on her 1999 album When I Look In Your Eyes.
