Affirmation is an instrumental composition by José Feliciano, written in 1975 and first released that year on his album Just Wanna Rock 'n' Roll. Described as a jazz-funk-Latin piece, it has no lyrics. The tune became widely known through jazz guitarist George Benson, whose 1976 album Breezin' featured his version. It became one of Benson's greatest hits and is regarded as a jazz standard. It is cited in Chris Buono and Ron Manus's Jazz Lead Guitar Solos (2003).
Japanese DJ and composer Nujabes later sampled Feliciano's recording for "Counting Stars", a track on the compilation Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection.
