'Tis Autumn is a jazz standard from 1941, with music and lyrics by Henry Nemo (1909-1999), a songwriter from the United States. Its original recording was made by Les Brown and His Orchestra, with a vocal chorus by Ralph Young, on 17 September 1941, and issued on Okeh 6430, a 78 rpm single whose B-side was 'That Solid Old Man (Is Here Again)'. The lyrics are in English. Early recordings were made by Woody Herman, Benny Goodman and Patti Page. Later versions include those by the King Cole Trio (1949), Chet Baker (1959), Red Garland (1959), Joe Pass, Ella Fitzgerald with Joe Pass (1976), and Stacey Kent (2003). Stan Getz also recorded the song in an instrumental version. The song became a jazz standard.
