"Place de Brouckère" is an instrumental Gypsy jazz piece composed by Django Reinhardt, with no lyrics. It takes its name from the Place de Brouckère, a central square in Brussels named after Charles de Brouckère, a former mayor of the city. Reinhardt recorded it on 16 April 1942 with his grand orchestra, Django Reinhardt et son grand orchestre, during his Brussels period, and it was issued as a single that same year. It is one of the many versions he recorded in Belgium.
Later recordings include versions by Yvonne Blanc (1943), André Persiany (1956), Joseph Reinhardt (1967), Biréli Lagrène (1995), Romane (2003), the Jimmy Rosenberg Trio (2004), the Angelo Debarre Quartet (2004), Hot Club Roma (2011), Les Violons de Bruxelles (2012) and Noël Akchoté (2016).
