"Number" (also known as "Number 1") is an instrumental gypsy jazz guitar piece performed by the Robin Nolan Trio, with Robin Nolan on guitar. It is the opening track of the group's self-titled album, released in 1996 on the Dutch label Not On Label under the catalogue number RNT 1. The album is filed under Jazz with the Gypsy Jazz style, and the piece belongs to that tradition. The original performance presents the tune as a trio guitar instrumental. The songwriters could not be identified, so no writer is credited.
The trio later returned to the piece in live performance. A 2003 version is titled "Django's Tiger / Number 1", combining the two titles in one. Known recordings by the trio therefore include the 1996 album version and this later live take.
