Cherish the Day is a song by the English band Sade, written by Sade Adu, Andrew Hale and Stuart Matthewman, with Adu producing. It appears on the band's fourth studio album, Love Deluxe (1992), and was released as the album's fourth and final single in the UK on 19 July 1993 on Epic Records, with "Bullet Proof Soul" on the B-side. The track runs 5:32 and its genre is given as trip hop, funk and ambient soul. Albumism called it soaring, with Adu's wistful vocal at its centre, and Cashbox praised the understated arrangement. Music Week's James Hamilton called it a lovely languid tranquil smoocher, while Vulture praised the minimalist lyrics and a ten-note bassline over misty synths.
The single peaked at number 53 on the UK Singles Chart, 17 on the UK Dance chart, 16 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 and 45 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The music video, directed by Albert Watson, was filmed in black and white, with Adu playing guitar on a New York City rooftop. Sudan Archives recorded a cover in 2026, and the title was later used for an American TV series.
