"He's a Tramp" is a song from Disney's animated musical Lady and the Tramp, released in 1955 by Walt Disney Productions. Oliver Wallace, who also composed the film's score and conducted it, wrote the music, and the lyrics are by Sonny Burke and Peggy Lee. In the film, Peggy Lee sings the song and also voices Peg, a stray Pekingese met at the pound. The film's song credits list Peggy Lee and The Mellomen as the dog chorus.
Her original recording, made with The Pound Hounds and rhythm accompaniment on 20 December 1954, was issued as a Decca single in early 1955 and also appeared that year on the Decca album Songs from Walt Disney's Lady and the Tramp. An episode of Disneyland titled "Cavalcade of Songs", dated 16 February 1955, staged a mock recording session of the song. Later versions by singers such as Carole Carr, Anita Harris, Bette Midler, Steve Tyrell, Dianne Reeves, Melody Gardot and Janelle Monáe have followed. The song is sung in English.
