Hideaway is an instrumental jazz tune written by the American saxophonist David Sanborn (1945-2024), who is credited as its sole composer. As an instrumental, it has no lyrics. Sanborn recorded it for his album Hideaway, first released on 15 February 1980. The album was his fifth studio album and is filed under jazz and funk and soul, with smooth jazz as its style. The tune opens the album as track A1 and gives the record its title.
Later versions include one by Miles Osland with Lisa Osland, dating from 1992, and one by Noël Akchoté, dating from 2015.
