"Natascha" is an instrumental gypsy jazz piece credited to Dorado Schmitt and Claudio Favari. Its original recording was made by the duo Dorado / Claudio Duo in February 1983 and first released that year on the album "Hommage à la romenes" (Leico, 1983). Dorado Schmitt, the French gypsy jazz guitarist and violinist born in 1957 in Saint-Avold, had formed the Dorado Trio in 1978, and he is one of the two composers credited on the piece.
A separate vocal derivative, also titled "Natascha" and sung in French, has lyrics credited to Nouna Schmitt and is a distinct work from the instrumental. Later recordings of the instrumental include a 1993 version by Gypsy Reunion and a 2000 recording by Hot Club de Norvège with Ola Kvernberg and Jimmy Rosenberg.
