"Knocks Me Off My Feet" is a soul song and love ballad written and produced by Stevie Wonder, who is credited as its only writer, both composer and lyricist. It was recorded for the album Songs in the Key of Life, released on Tamla in 1976. The song was not issued as a single at the time, but it appeared as the B-side of "I Ain't Gonna Stand for It" in 1980. The track runs 3:36 and is in C major. In the film Beauty Shop, the character Joe plays it on piano. Ol' Dirty Bastard sampled the first two notes of the piano intro on "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" (1995), and Ja Rule's "Thug Lovin'" (2002), featuring Bobby Brown, interpolates the chorus. Later versions include Donell Jones's 1996 recording, a second single from My Heart that reached number 49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 14 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs; Tevin Campbell's 1996 version for the soundtrack to A Thin Line Between Love and Hate; and Luther Vandross's version as "Your Secret Love" (1996). Jeffrey Osborne, Najee and Marco Sison have also recorded it.
