"Alice in Wonderland" is a song with music by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Bob Hilliard, written as the theme song for Walt Disney's 1951 animated musical film Alice in Wonderland, produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. The film is based on Lewis Carroll's novel and its sequel. Harry Simeone arranged the song for treble voices, and in the film it was performed by The Jud Conlon Chorus and The Mellomen. It plays during the opening and end credits. Izumi Yukimura sang her own version of the theme for the Japanese release.
Described as dreamy, the song became a jazz standard from the early 1960s. Bill Evans recorded it live at the Village Vanguard, released on the 1961 album Sunday at the Village Vanguard, and Oscar Peterson and Dave Brubeck are also among its jazz performers. Rosemary Clooney recorded it together with "The Unbirthday Song", and Michael Feinstein included it in a medley of the film's songs. The original film recording was in G major, while the jazz standard is usually played in C major.
