"Home at Last" is an instrumental jazz composition by the American tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley, who is credited as its composer. It forms the closing section of the side-one suite "Thinking of Home / The Flight / Home at Last", which runs about ten minutes and appears on Mobley's album Thinking of Home. The album was recorded on 31 July 1970 at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, with Woody Shaw on trumpet, Cedar Walton on piano, Eddie Diehl on guitar, Mickey Bass on bass, Leroy Williams on drums and Mobley on tenor saxophone. Duke Pearson and Francis Wolff produced the session. Blue Note did not release it until 1980, and it was Mobley's last recording for the label. The album belongs to the hard bop style. AllMusic gave it three stars, the Penguin Guide 3.5 stars and the Rolling Stone Jazz Record Guide three stars, and All About Jazz called it a fitting farewell session.
