"You Better Go Now" is a song with music and lyrics by Irvin Graham and Bickley Reichner, sung in English. Its earliest known recording was made by Billie Holiday on 4 February 1946, with an orchestra directed by Bob Haggart. The recording was released as the B-side of a single from the same year, whose A-side was "No More". Later singers who recorded the song include Johnny Mathis (1960), Dakota Staton (1963), Carmen McRae (1968) and Etta Jones. The tune has also been recorded in instrumental versions by Chet Baker, Stéphane Grappelli and Red Garland. The original 1946 release is catalogued under the genres jazz, pop and stage and screen, with a vocal style, and the writers are credited for both the music and the words.
