"I'll Remember April" is a popular song and jazz standard with music by Gene de Paul and lyrics by Patricia Johnston and Don Raye, who wrote the words. It was written in 1941 and is sung in English. Its original recording was made by Woody Herman and His Orchestra on 28 August 1941, and it was first released on a single in February 1942.
The song made its film debut in Ride 'Em Cowboy, the 1942 Abbott and Costello comedy, where Dick Foran sang it. The film's producers had reportedly expected a boogie-woogie number from the composer. Later recordings include versions by Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Shirley Bassey, June Christy, Sonny Clark, Perry Como, Bing Crosby and Cannonball Adderley, which show its appeal to both vocalists and jazz instrumentalists.
