"Minor Blues" is an instrumental jazz blues in the Gypsy jazz, or jazz manouche, style, credited to Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. It was written with the Quintette du Hot Club de France and was inspired by the group's earlier "Minor Swing" from 1937. Reinhardt first recorded it in Brussels on 16 April 1942, for the Belgian label Rythme, with Ivon De Bie on piano. The 78 rpm disc runs about 2:43. Post-war versions were recorded in Paris in 1947 with the Quintette du Hot Club de France. Among the first standards of the Gypsy jazz repertoire, the tune appears on many compilations and remains part of that repertoire. It is also heard in Étienne Comar's 2017 film "Django", which is loosely based on part of Reinhardt's life.
